Almost 1500 US troops killed, over 10,000 wounded, and as many as 100,000 Iraqi civilians killed. The numbers will keep growing as long as the US occupies Iraq. The presence of the US military forces is undeniably a significant provocation leading to the so-called counter- insurgency and violence.
