Delco Wage Peace & Justice Voter 2004 Registration efforts

4,000 new voters registered by our volunteers.
4,000 new voters received our voter education mailing,.
4,000 new voters called by our volunteers before the election.
500+ voters served by our volunteers through our Voter Hotline.
100+ voters were given rides to the polls by our volunteers on Election Day.
4,000 more calls to voters made by our volunteers on Election Day.
10,000 pieces of voter protection literature distributed to voters by our volunteers on Election Day.

Over 13,000 folks voted in Chester.  That's  2,500 more voters than in 2000. Up 25%. Historic turnout.

The other good thing was the amazing effort by the members and supporters of Delaware County Wage Peace & Justice to empower low-income, African American, Latino American, women, and youth voters.  Over 400 volunteers participated during the campaign. For a small group like ours, the results were unbelievable.
